feathers/ When Guillaume's mother passed in the summer of 2024, he imagined her spirit transforming into luminous feathers as her body was cremated—a final act of becoming that honored her Native American heritage and connection to the natural world. These high-contrast photographs capture feathers bathed in deep, projected color, each one glowing with the intensity of that sacred transition between life and death. This work holds the weight of loss and the radiance of release, existing in that brief, powerful moment before she dissolved into the afterlife.
